Policies

Splashtop Secure Workspace is a comprehensive and extended SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) platform designed to manage secure access to networks and applications for IT environments, including third-party, privileged, and employee access. The Secure Workspace portal provides tools for administrators to set up security policies globally at the organizational level. These policies are designed to implement:

• Secure Access
  • Access policies to the internet, private networks, private applications, and SaaS (public) applications
  • Access policies to secrets (passwords, SSH keys, API keys, tokens, etc.)
  • Access policies to data
  • Policies for user authentication
• Password Policies
• MFA Policies

These organization-level policies can be managed from the web portal under Access/Policies. Policies can also be imported and exported to and from the SSW. Each policy can be assigned to specific groups that are subject to these security rules. Secure Workspace offers the following types of policies which map to the security implementation categories listed above:

1. Access Policies: Define rules for granting or restricting access to resources, ensuring that access entitlements align with the organization’s security policies and business needs.
2. Password Policies: Specify the requirements for password complexity and management.
3. MFA Policies: Detail the requirements for multi-factor authentication, including the specific factors to be used.

By configuring these policies, administrators can enhance security, enforce compliance, and maintain a secure and efficient access environment.
