The Secrets in Splashtop Secure Workspace Desktop Client allows users to manage and access their secrets. Each secret is represented as a card with various details and options.
Secret Card Overview
The left side of the card displays an avatar that represents the secret. Different types of secrets have different avatars. If the secret comes from the sharing folder, a small icon will appear in the bottom right corner of the avatar.
The top-left corner of the card shows the name of the secret.
The second row in the top-left corner displays the note associated with the secret.
At the bottom of the card, there are two buttons that allow quick copying of the username and password associated with the secret.
The top-right corner of the card displays the type of the secret. Next to it, there is a star button that, when enabled, adds the secret to the "Star" tab in the Secrets section.
The bottom-right corner of the card contains a button with three dots ("..."). Clicking this button opens a dropdown menu with the following options:
- Edit: Opens a new floating window called "Vault Quick View" that allows editing the secret.
- Details: Opens a new floating window called "Vault Quick View" that displays detailed information about the secret.
- History: Opens a new floating window called "Vault Quick View" that shows the history of the secret.
- Link Share: Opens a new floating window called "Vault Quick View" that user can create a link share for the secret.
- Username: Copies the username associated with the secret.
- Password: Copies the password associated with the secret.
Clicking anywhere in the non-button area of a secret card will open the detailed information page for that secret, which includes details such as the secret's name, type, folder path, password, username, and note etc.
Filter Tabs
The Secrets includes 2 filter tabs that allow users to view specific subsets of secrets:
- Recent: The Recent tab shows secrets that have been accessed recently. Secrets are listed in chronological order, with the most recently accessed secrets appearing at the top.
- Star: The Star tab allows users to quickly access their favorite or frequently used secrets. Only secrets that have been marked as favorites (by clicking the star button) in the All tab will appear in this tab.
By default, no tab is selected, and the main window displays all available secrets without any filtering based on the Recent or Star tabs.
