The Connector in Splashtop Secure Workspace Desktop Client is indeed intended for administrators to manage and configure the connector. Administrators have the ability to start and stop connector, specify network settings, select the target edge for the connection, and configure various options related to the connector. Regular users without administrative privileges will not have access to this section.
Connector Configuration
At the top-left corner of the page, there is a button displaying the default name of the connector, which is generated using the hostname and a random string. Clicking this button allows users to enter the connector's configuration page. The configuration options include:
- Connector Name: Enter a name to identify the connector.
- Network: Select the network to which the connector belongs.
- Edge: Choose the edge to which the connector will connect.
- Allow Remote Control: Toggle switch to enable or disable remote control capabilities.
- Auto Bandwidth Detection: Toggle switch to enable or disable automatic bandwidth detection.
- Application Discovery: Configure application discovery settings. (Refer to the documentation for detailed instructions.)

- Click Update to save the changes made to the connector configuration.
Next to the connector name button, there is a switch to control whether the connector automatically runs when the Splashtop Secure Workspace Desktop Client starts.
Connector Status and Connection
In the center of the page, there is a circular button that reflects the current status of the connector. It indicates whether the connector is disconnected or connected. Clicking this button allows users to establish or terminate the connection.
Connector Information
At the bottom of the page, there are three sections:
- Public IP: The public IP address of the connector.
- Private IP: The private IP address of the connector.
- Discover Applications Button: Clicking this button allows users to manage discovered applications associated with the connector. (Refer to the documentation for more details.)

Reset Connector
In the top-right corner, there is a "Reset" button. Clicking this button will reset the connector and remove all applications connected through it. Please exercise caution when performing this action.
