The Organization feature in Splashtop Secure Workspace provide an isolated container within the platform that enables administrators to achieve multi-tenancy. Let's explore the key aspects of Organizations:

Default Organization

When you initiate a tenant, a default organization with the same name as the tenant will be automatically created. This default organization serves as the starting point for your organization's structure.

Creating Multiple Organizations

The user with Super Admin role, based on the tenant's entitlement, has the ability to create multiple organizations within the tenant. Each organization acts as a separate entity with its own set of administrators and resources.

Organization Administrators (Org Admin)

Every organization has its own dedicated administrator, known as the Org Admin and it is also a type of role in the platform. The Org Admin role has the authority to manage objects and resources within their specific organization. They have control over user access and configurations limited to their organization only.

Super Admin's Role

Super Admins have the capability to roam between organizations within the tenant. However, all management activities are performed under a specific organization. This allows Super Admins to oversee and administer multiple organizations while maintaining the necessary boundaries.

Switching Organizations

In the Splashtop Secure Workspace web portal, you will find a dropdown menu in the upper right corner that displays the current organization you are working with. Super Admins can utilize this dropdown menu to easily switch between organizations within the tenant, providing a seamless experience for managing different entities.

Secret Vault

Each organization has its own dedicated Secret Vault, accessible only to Super Admins and Org Admins. This vault serves as a centralized repository for storing and sharing secrets securely. Super Admins and Org Admins can manage the secrets and folders within this vault and share them with users within their organization as needed.
