Device posture check profiles in Splashtop Secure Workspace are sets of rules that help ensure secure access to the workspace by evaluating the security posture of devices. Follow the steps below to create device posture check profiles.
Step 1: Accessing Device Posture Check Profiles
- Log in to your Splashtop Secure Workspace admin account using your credentials.
- Navigate to the Devices tab.
Step 2: Creating a New Device Posture Check Profile
- On the Devices tab, click on the Posture Check section.
- Click on the Add Profile button to create a new profile.
Step 3: Configuring Profile Settings
- Provide a descriptive Profile Name for the new device posture check profile.
- Select the Group to which this profile will be applied. This determines the devices that will be subject to the posture check rules defined in the profile.
- Choose the Runtime Schedule for the profile:
- Prior to Connection and Every X minutes: The posture check will run both before establishing a connection and at regular intervals (20, 40, or 60 minutes).
- Prior to Connection Only: The posture check will only run before establishing a connection.
Step 4: Defining Rules for Each OS Type
- Select the appropriate OS type from the following options: Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, or Android.
- Add rules specific to the selected OS type to define the security criteria that devices must meet for compliance. These rules may include requirements related to operating system version, antivirus software, firewall status, software updates, and other relevant security indicators.
- Repeat the process for each OS type you want to include in the profile.
Step 5: Saving and Applying the Profile
- Review the configured settings to ensure they meet your requirements.
- Click on the Save button to save the device posture check profile.
- The saved profile will be listed under the Device Posture Check Profiles tab.
- By default, the profile will be in an active state. Locate the newly created profile in the list and deactivate it by clicking on the corresponding Enabled button.
