1. Overview

The Access Exporter is a tool that allows administrators to search, review, and export user access data for connectors, applications, groups, and users in the tenant.

It helps with access audits, compliance checks, and permissions verification.

2. Location

You can access Access Exporter from:

Access → Access Explorer

3. Key Features

  • Flexible search – Query by connector, application, group, or user.
  • Relationship view – See which applications belong to a connector and which groups or users have access.
  • User-centric view – View all applications a specific user can access.
  • Exportable results – Download the data for reporting or auditing purposes.
  • Optional user merging – Merge duplicate users from different groups into one row when exporting.

4. How to Use Access Exporter

  1. Navigate to Access → Access Explorer in the admin console.
  2. Select a filter type: Connector, Application, Group, or User.
  3. Enter your search criteria (e.g., a specific connector name).

When exporting, you will see the following option:

  • Merge duplicate users

Description: When enabled, users appearing in multiple groups will be merged into a single entry in the export. This helps produce a cleaner, consolidated access list.

6. Example Scenarios

  • Audit access to applications for a specific connector

Example: Search for Connector A to see all related applications and their associated groups/users.

  • Verify a specific user’s access

Example: Search for user john.doe@example.com to list all applications they can access.

  • Check group-level permissions

Example: Search for a group name to see all applications its members can access.

  • Produce a clean access list for reporting

Example: Enable Merge duplicate users to avoid repeating the same user in multiple rows.
